How to Heckle a Referee

A lot of people like to attend professional and amateur sporting events. It's a favorite pastime for America and other countries. If you feel as though a referee is not doing his job, heckle him. It may make you feel better and annoy them all at the same time. Read on to learn how to heckle a referee.

Instructions

1. Decide what sporting event to attend and heckle the referee. Basketball, soccer, baseball, boxing, football and softball all have referees to heckle. Purchase tickets in advance to allow time to prepare a plan to heckle the referee.

2. Get exact times and locations, and directions, if needed, from the ticket agent. Arrive early and get a seat close to floor at the game or match.

3. Start to heckle by making rude comments, boorish gestures and just being as irritating as possible.

4. Be silly by wearing bright colors and large glasses. Make up a silly sign that says, "The ref is blind" and other similar phrases. Paint yourself with black and white stripes and hold a sign that says, "Who is the real referee?"

5. Make sarcastic comments and motions when the referee, players or spectators scold you. Be prepared to be thrown out of the event.

Tips & Warnings

• If the event has alcohol it may cause you to be more vulgar and defiant. Don't drink and drive.

• Attempting to heckle from too far away doesn't work because the referee can't hear you.

• In most cases, if you heckle, you will be removed from the game. Don't take it personally, you are being disruptive and you know it.
