If you are considering a life in the ministry and if you believe that your calling in life is to spread the word of God, then New England Bible College may be the perfect place to seek your higher education. Nestled in the heart of South Portland, Maine, New England Baptist Bible College is a small school, which gives a great amount of attention to each student. Here's how to take a tour of the school.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Go to New England Baptist Bible College website and read up on the official college website for the school. Because the school is small, the site is not as informative as some other college sites. However, you can certainly familiarize yourself with the basics like the history of the school, their doctrinal statement, academics, extension classes and more.
Step2
Contact the school for your personalized tour of the New England Bible College. Under the admissions tab, you'll learn the requirements for admission which range from a completed application form, a personal essay, a high school transcript or equivalent and more. As far as open houses, or college fairs, this school really doesn't operate that way. Contact the school and inform them of your interest. They can be reached by email, found on the site or at (800) 286-1859.
Step3
Schedule your travel arrangements to South Portland, Maine. The good news is that getting to South Portland is a lot easier than trying to arrive at other destinations in Maine (especially during the tourism season.) If you are flying, Maine has their larger airports in Portland or Augusta. Also, you may consider flying into Boston and taking another form of transportation up to South Portland. Buses and trains (Amtrak) regularly run from Boston straight to Portland. And if you're close enough to the school, driving directions can be found right on their site.
Step4
Take the tour and begin your spiritual journey. A place like New England Baptist Bible College is not for everyone. But for those who are truly looking to dedicate their lives to the word of the Lord, then this is a great place to start. Be sure to have a list of questions at the ready for your personalized visit. They should range from cost to help with placement in a ministry after graduation.

Tips & Warnings

  • This is also referred to as New England Bible College. Some sites leave out Baptist depending on when they reviewed the university.
  • You do not have to enroll as a full time student to take classes at the college. You can also be a certificate or audit student as well. While you won't earn a degree, you will vastly increase your knowledge in spiritual studies.
