If you are looking for cheap jeans to sell, the first thing you will need to decide is if you want to sell new or used merchandise. This will largely be determined by the market that you are selling to. Some customers may only be willing to purchase new jeans, but you may find that in other markets used jeans are just as desirable

1. Use a wholesaler. Check the yellow pages of the phone book and you will find several listed. You can also approach local retailers and ask them if they would consider wholesale prices for quantity purchases. Another good place to find a compiled list of wholesalers is the website of the National Association of Wholesale Distributors.

2. Check for surplus and salvage merchandise. Those who run surplus and salvage businesses buy up overstock, liquidation and close out merchandise and then offer it for sale below the cost of wholesale. This information is readily available on the Internet but can also usually be found locally. Check the yellow pages of the phone book and watch your local classified ads.

3. Consider using a drop shipper. Drop shipping is easy because you do not have to purchase the merchandise in advance. When a customer places an order from you, you go and order it from the drop ship company and have it delivered to your customer. This type of selling can be risky though because the drop shipper could run out of the jeans that your customer ordered.

4. Watch local stores for advertised and unadvertised sales on jeans. The clearance section is often a great place to find jeans cheap enough to turn a profit when you sell them.

Used jeans

1. Hit garage sales when they are in season. Many garage sales are full of used, good condition jeans, being sold cheaply. Since you are buying to re-sell, you will be looking for an assortment of sizes so you won't be as limited as if you were buying for yourself.

2. Shop at local clothing consignment stores. Ask the store owner when they typically stock new merchandise so you know how frequently to return.

3. Visit area flea markets. Going to the flea market on the last day that is running is a great time to get deals on quantity. A vendor selling clothing may let you buy out his entire supply of jeans on the last day so he doesn't have to pack them up and bring them home.

4. Go to thrift stores. Stores run by places such as the Salvation Army or the Good Will are a great place to find used jeans at cheap prices. Some of these stores also offer Dollar Day where one day a week they sell specially marked clothing, including jeans, for one dollar per item.
