Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Understand the key to making a low carb pizza is coming up with a believable crust that actually has taste. Using everything from flax meal to soy flour and lots of interesting pairings in between, the goal is both visual and taste related.

  2. Step 2

Try a crust-less pizza if you'd like to stay away from strange ingredients that taste like something you can't quite put your finger on. You'll need one can diced tomatoes, 2 slices sandwich ham (the squared kind), grated Mozzarella cheese, salt, pepper, oregano, Italian spices, rosemary, basil and red pepper flakes. You'll also need olive oil spray, and canned mushrooms and banana peppers for toppings, if desired.

  3. Step 3

Drain the diced tomatoes in a colander for a couple of hours to dry them out as much as possible. Overlap the 2 slices of ham to form a square. This will become your pizza "crust."

  4. Step 4

Add as many of the diced tomatoes as you like, then season with the spices of your choice. Next, add your choice of toppings and then sprinkle on the mozzarella cheese.

  5. Step 5

Spread a sheet of aluminum foil on a baking sheet. Spray the foil with a bit of olive oil. Bake at 375 degrees for 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is golden brown. This recipe makes enough for one person, so multiply ingredients according to the number of servings you desire.

  6. Step 6
