How to Lose Weight With the Hoodia Power Pop Diet

One of the hottest new diet supplements on the market is the Hoodia pill. Hoodia is made from gordonii, a plant that has been used in South Africa for years. The tribal hunters break off a piece of the bark from this plant and chew on it, allowing them to go all day without eating while they hunt. Modern Americans can now use the same plant to lose weight.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate
Step1
Decide which form of Hoodia is best for you. Being honest with yourself and knowing your habits will help with your success. Hoodia comes in a patch, a pill, a liquid and in food such as power bars.
Step2
Check with your doctor. Hoodia has been reported to bring side effects. You need a clean bill of health before beginning a Hoodia, or any other, diet that introduces a new substance into your system.
Step3
Prepare a food plan. Hoodia merely helps you to reduce your appetite. It does not burn excess fat that you take in. Losing weight still requires that you take in fewer calories than you burn.
Step4
Exercise regularly. Join a gym or dust off the old stair-stepper. Invite a friend to walk with you or play tennis. You must include exercise in your weight-loss plan.
Step5
Take your Hoodia, in whatever form you've chosen, on a regular basis. It will take a couple days before you will begin to feel the effects of the appetite suppressant. You must take the recommended amount, whether it is 12 pills a day or a timed-release pill that you only take three times a day.
Step6
Use the Hoodia to develop new eating and exercise habits. After you lose the initial weight, continue your new healthy diet and lifestyle without the use of appetite suppressants.

on 8/23/2008 Hoodia is a hoax. My husband is from South Africa, and they have never even heard of Hoodia, neither do they use it for weight loss. It is highly unlikely to cause any long term weight loss benefits and it's long term side effects aren't well documented. It should be considered risky and not very beneficial to weight loss in the first place.
