How to Find an Import Car Club

If you are an import car enthusiast, you probably like to talk about cars. Joining an import car club is a great way to meet other people who share your passion. You can make friends and see great cars all in one place. Car club members usually hang out together, work on their cars together and participate in car shows as a group. Read on to learn more.

  1. Step 1

    Attend import car shows and look for information about joining a car club in your area. Hot Import Nights, the largest of the import car shows, travels to numerous U.S. cities.

  2. Step 2

    Go to the Gauge Magazine website and click on the "Car Club Listings" link. Select "Import Car Club" under the "Categories List." Click on your state for a listing of car clubs.

  3. Step 3

    Access the Carlist website and click on the "Car Clubs" and then "Locate a carclub." Search by make, state, country or category.

  4. Step 4

    Use the Nuts for Cars online directory to locate an import car club. Membership is required to use the directory.

  5. Step 5

    Talk to employees of import car dealerships, automotive accessory shops and about import car services to see if anyone belongs or knows about import car clubs in your area.

  6. Step 6

    Watch for bumper stickers or graphics on cars. Many car club members will have the club name displayed on their car.
