    Collect Dragon Figurines

  1. Step 1

Collect dragon figurines by manufacturer or artist. Often an artist or production company will produce a line of dragon figurines that all feature the same look and feel, and they make great collections once completed.

  2. Step 2

Collect dragon figurines from McFarlane Toys. They are highly detailed and wonderfully painted. Additionally, they are made of plastic which makes them highly durable and readily available for play by children.

  3. Step 3

Buy dragon figurines that you can build yourself! There are dragon models made of metal and plastic that come unassembled and unpainted. It's a great hobby for young artists or people who just enjoy building things.

  4. Step 4

Collect dragon figurines that are more than just for show. There are dragon figurines that are actually candleholders, door jams and bookends or even incense burners (smoke comes out of their noses!). Many art fairs will have at least one artist selling such dragon figurines.

  5. Step 5

Use smaller dragon figurines to make jewelry, or simply buy dragon figurines pre-made to be worn as charms, necklaces or bracelets. Many smaller dragons are easily convertible for making jewelry, by either adding a ring for a chain or by simply threading a chain through a pre-existing loop in the dragon.

  6. Step 6

Join a club devoted to dragons and other collectibles. When you are a member of such a club you'll often find more information about new releases or rare collectibles that are on sale.

Tips & Warnings
  • Keep the dragon figurines you collect clean using soft and gentle cleaning solutions. Often, dish-washing detergent or plain bar soap is enough to rinse them off.
  • Be careful when handling dragon figurines as some may have sharp edges, particularly if they are made with pewter.
  • Avoid giving younger children dragon figurines if there are parts that could be considered choking hazards. Many figurines will be clearly marked if there are parts you should be concerned about, but this isn't always the case.
