How to Earn Neopoints

Though you don't need Neopoints (NP) to have fun with a Neopet, they'll open up new worlds within the game if you have them. You can play chance games in an attempt to get great rewards, and you can buy your pets all kinds of treats. Luckily, it's easy and fun to earn Neopoints.

Earn Neopoints While Having Fun in the Game

1. Log on to your account to access the games. While many of the Flash games allow anyone to play them, you can only earn Neopoints if you have an account.

2. Play the Flash games to earn Neopoints. From the Neopets home page, hover over "Games" and then scroll down to "Games Room." You can play most games up to three times per day for Neopoints. Playing more will allow you to hone your skills (to win more in the future) or just have fun.

3. Use the Auction House or your personal store strategically. Stores in Neopia Central and all around the world occasionally sell very rare items such as petpets and toys that are highly desirable. If you can pick up such an item and you don't want it for yourself, you can re-sell it on the Auction House or in your store for a huge profit.

4. Enter a contest. You can submit pieces of creative writing or artwork, or you can try one of the puzzle contests, such as the Mystery Pic or the Lenny Conundrum. If you win, you will earn a significant number of Neopoints.

5. Put your Neopoints in the bank. The more you put in savings, the more you earn in interest. Make sure you collect your interest daily as you will not get interest for days that you don't visit the bank to collect it.

Tips & Warnings

• Many games award a maximum of 1,000 NP, no matter how high your score is. If you aren't playing with the aim of getting on a high-score board, you can save time by stopping when you reach the score at which you receive 1,000 Neopoints.
• You will receive twice as many points for playing the daily featured game.
• Be sure that you change the type of bank account you have when you have the minimum number of Neopoints required to do so, as higher account levels pay a higher interest rate.
• Be careful with games that fall under the "Chance" category. Games such as Black Pawkeet Slots and Test Your Strength cost Neopoints to play. You may set out to earn Neopoints and lose them instead!
