Strip clubs are a veritable wonderland of adult-themed fun. They're not just for men, either. Women and couples are also frequent customers at these establishments. It seems as if everyone enjoys seeing sexy ladies dancing topless on a stage. While a good time is definitely had by all at a strip club, there are still rules to be followed, just like any other business. If you're planning a night out at a strip club, avoid trouble by knowing how to act while you're there.

Learn How to Act at a Strip Club

Step1
Wear stripper-friendly clothing. Remember, strippers give lap dances. Jeans and other tough material chafes.
Step2
Bring a healthy supply of $5 bills. Strippers often have to share their tips with the bouncers and bartenders. These club employees usually get between 10 and 20 percent of a stripper's nightly tips, so paying her in denominations of five will make things easier for her to divvy up the cash at the end of the night.
Step3
Refrain from asking out a stripper. They are there to work, not to make your dating life easier. Many clubs actually have rules prohibiting the solicitation of dates by customers. However, if a stripper is really interested in you for more than the money you'll be giving her that night, she'll let you know.
Step4
Keep your money in an easily accessible location. It's time-consuming and awkward to have to continually reach for your wallet whenever you want to tip a stripper. Use a money clip or a handy pocket for easier access.
Step5
Stay at least partially sober. No one likes an obnoxious drunk, especially strippers. Get too drunk and you're likely to have an unpleasant encounter with the bouncer.
Step6
Act like a gentleman (or a lady). Strippers are people too. Treat them with respect and everyone will have a pleasant evening.

Tips & Warnings

  • If your wife or girlfriend is interested in going to the strip club, bring her along. Most strippers appreciate seeing couples come in and may give the two of you some extra attention. If your girl is into it, buy her a lap dance and everyone will have a good time!
  • If the rules of the club prohibit touching the dancers, make sure you abide by it. Clubs with no-touching rules are usually pretty strict about it. If you break the rule, the bouncer will be tossing you out on your ear quicker than you can stuff a $20 into a G-string.
