Take Part in the Butch Harmon Vegas Tour

Step1
Make sure you have the time to commit to attend the Butch Harmon Vegas Golf Tour. Tournaments are organized over a 3-month schedule. During those 3 months, players participate in ten regular mini-tournaments, as well as a 4-day Tour Championship tournament.
Step2
Learn the schedule of fees. You can enter on a per-tournament basis for a relatively modest price (at least when compared to the expensive cost of full membership). Full membership, though, allows you to participate in tournaments all year long and can save you money in the long run.
Step3
Familiarize yourself with the prize structure. Members are eligible for cash bonuses if they're among the money leaders in their divisions at season's end. Weekly tournaments also offer cash prizes that are many times more valuable than the cost of entry.
Step4
Download an application form from the Butch Harmon Vegas Tour website (see Resources below). Complete and return it, along with your non-refundable deposit, to the Butch Harmon Vegas Tour, 3960 Howard Hughes Parkway, Suite 500, Las Vegas, NV 89169.
Step5
Buy or sell a spot in a weekly tournament. Members are permitted to sell weekly tournament spots to non-members through the Butch Harmon Vegas Tour website (see Resources below). If you're lucky enough to snag a spot in a weekly tournament, make plans to attend and participate.
Step6
Take advantage of your membership perks. Annual members are permitted to take five free practice rounds on the Rio Secco course during the season. It's an excellent way to sharpen your game.
Step7
Attend as many of the tournaments as you can to give yourself the best chance of ranking among the money leaders and qualifying for the tour's prizes.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you're on a budget, use the resources on the Butch Harmon Vegas Tour website to find a roommate for an extended stay in Vegas.
  • Membership applications, which you'll need to participate in the Butch Harmon Vegas Tour golf tournaments, require very expensive entry fees. Though returning members qualify for a slight discount, the fees may still be prohibitive to some.
