How to Attend the Fairway Golf Tour

The FairWay Golf Tour is a competitive, but fun, first-tournament arena where passionate golfers can engage in head-to-head play for significant prize money. Held each year on golf courses in Oklahoma and Texas, the FairWay Golf Tour features three different divisions: the Net Division for players with a handicap of 12.0 or less, the Senior Net Division (handicap of 18.0 or less) and the Best Ball Division (non-seniors with handicap of 18.0 or less).

Take Part in a FairWay Golf Tour Event

1. Check the calendar of scheduled events by contacting the FairWay Golf Tour at [phone].
2. When checking for the current schedule of events, keep in mind that the FairWay Golf Tour hosts a "major" tournament every year, which offers the most prize money. However, there may be restrictions on which players are eligible to attend the annual major tournament.
3. Select an event you want to attend. FairWay puts on hundreds of tournaments each year. If you want to participate as a spectator, contact FairWay for current information about ticket purchasing opportunities.
4. Download the entry form off the FairWay Golf Tour website (see Resources below). Complete it, making sure you pay attention to eligibility requirements for your chosen tournament. The deadline for submitting an entry for is 5:00 p.m. (local time) on the Wednesday prior to the tournament.
5. Select your entry type ("FairWay Net" or "Tour Championship Qualifier"). Then, fill in the area of the application that offers you the opportunity to purchase a membership. Remember that while membership is not required, you cannot claim a first place prize unless you are a member of the FairWay Golf Tour.
6. Send your completed entry form to the FGA Tour, 519 Nimrod Road, Edmond, OK 73003. Acceptable payment forms include cash, check or credit card. You will need to include a credit card authorization form if you are swiping the plastic to pay your entry fees.
7. Make refundable travel arrangements. Purchase cancellation insurance on your airfare, and make sure that the hotel you make your reservations at has a liberal cancellation policy. Unpredictable weather can cancel a tournament on short notice.
8. Confirm your registration in the event you entered.
