How to Install CrazyTalk

CrazyTalk is a program that allows users to import digital images from a variety of sources, animate them and make them talk. CrazyTalk also comes with an image library from which you can select images and convert them to verbal icons for websites.

• Internet Explorer 5
• Skype (optional)
• Duplex sound card

• WMEncoder 9
• 300 MB disk space
• Graphics card
• Pentium III 800 MHz or higher
• DirectX 9
• Microphone/speaker
• 128 MB RAM

Install CrazyTalk Using a Windows Operating System

1. Insert the software CD into your computer's CD drive.
2. Wait for the installation wizard to finish extracting the files necessary to set up CrazyTalk, or, if necessary, begin installation manually. This can be accomplished by clicking on "Start -> Run" and typing the letter of your CD drive followed by ":\CrazyTalkwe.exe". Then click "OK" to begin the installation wizard.
3. Click "Next" when you see the CrazyTalk installation wizard welcome screen.
4. Read the License Agreement carefully, so that you know under what terms you may use and install the software. Click "Yes" to accept the agreement.
5. Type your personal information in the boxes on the next screen and enter the serial number of your CrazyTalk software. This information can be found on the back of the CD case or sleeve. Click "Next."
6. Use the default folder as an installation destination or use the "Browse" button to choose or create a new folder. When you are finished, click "Next."
7. Choose a destination for the program folder by typing in a name or picking a folder from the "Existing Folders" list. Use the default folder if you don't have a preference.
8. Allow the wizard to copy the program files to your computer.
9. Install the Microsoft Text-to-Speech Engine by selecting "Yes" when the prompt screen appears.
10. Read and accept the license agreement for the Microsoft Text-to-Speech Engine and click "Finish" to complete installation.

Install CrazyTalk for Skype

11. Install the latest version of Skype from the Skype website (see Resources below).
12. Log in to your Skype account.
13. Download and install CrazyTalk for Skype from the Reallusion website (see Resources below).
14. Launch CrazyTalk. An API Access Dialog will pop up, at which time you should choose the "Allow this Program to Use Skype" option and click "OK."

Tips & Warnings

• There are a few versions to install, including the CrazyTalk Home and Web editions as well as CrazyTalk for Skype. Make sure you purchase the correct one for your needs.
