How to Install Carrara 3D

Carrara 3D is animation software with a functional interface that makes it easy for both professional and amateur animators to produce high-quality 3D animation and images. It comes with a library of pre-built models and provides support both online and via tutorials. It's simple to install the software on your home computer.

Things You’ll Need:

• 512 MB of RAM
• Computer with OS X or higher or Windows 2000, XP or Vista
• 24-bit color display
• 3D graphics accelerator card
• 300 MB of disk space

Install Carrara 3D

1. Purchase or download the software. If you are downloading the software, allow for few minutes for the compressed file to be transferred to your computer.
2. Insert the installation CD into your CD drive or extract the files from the .zip file by clicking on the folder located on your desktop.
3. Click on the Carrara 3D icon inside the Carrara 3D folder to begin installation and wait while the program extracts the necessary files to install the program. After it is finished you will see the installation wizard screen, at which time you should click "Next."
4. Read the license agreement thoroughly to make sure you understand the terms under which you may use the Carrara 3D software.
5. Accept the agreement by clicking on the "Next" button.
6. Enter your user name, company name (if applicable) and the serial number of your software, and then click "Next." On CD copies of the software, the serial number can be located on the back of the CD case. The serial number of downloaded copies is located in a text document in the same Carrara 3D folder in which the installation icon was located.
7. Allow the software to be installed into the default folder or select or create a new folder by using the "Browse" button. After choosing a folder, click "Next."
8. Decide on a type of setup and check the circle next to it. There are three options: the "Typical" (and recommended) setup, which will install the most common features, the "Compact" setup, which will only install the most basic features, and the "Custom" setup, which allows you to choose the features you want to install. Custom installation is only recommended for advanced users of Carrara 3D.
9. Click "Next" and wait while the wizard installs the program files.
10. Choose "Finish" to complete the installation process.

Tips & Warnings

• Ensure that your computer has the minimum requirements to effectively run Carrara 3D. Macintosh users need to be running OS X or higher and have 512 MB of RAM, a 3D graphics accelerator card, a 24-bit color display and 300 MB of disk space. Other users will need to have Windows 2000, XP or Vista.
