Things You'll Need:
- Microsoft Word with clip art installed
- Microsoft Paint
-
Step 1
Open the website in your Internet browser. Scroll to the section of the page you wish to make an image. It's important to note that only the amount of the page that appears on your screen will be part of your image.
-
Step 2
Create a screenshot of the visible part of your screen by pressing the "Print Screen" button on your keyboard. The text on the label of your keyboard's button may be abbreviated. It is usually located to the right of the "Backspace" button, next to the "F12" button.
-
Step 3
Open a new blank page in Microsoft Word. Right-click with your mouse, and select "Paste" to insert the image of the screenshot you created by pressing "Print Screen." The image will appear in your Word document and can be saved as part of the document.
-
Step 4
Remember that to save the screenshot of the webpage as an image file, you will need to open Microsoft Paint or another graphics program. Click on "Edit" in the top menu bar, and select "Paste" to get your image to appear.
-
Step 5
Choose the type of image file you would like to save the screenshot as from the drop-down box in the "Save" menu. If you are using the image as clip art for a webpage, "JPEG" or "GIF" format is probably most appropriate.
-
Step 6
Save the file as an image by clicking on "File," and then "Save" in the menu bar.
-
Step 7
Use your newly created image as you would any other clip art graphic. Screenshots of webpages are often helpful when you would like to create an illustration of a certain page or section of your website to use as a diagram or advertisement.
