Nothing is better than the perfect toasty, buttery, cheesy, melty grilled cheese!

Whether it's a quick lunch or a snuggle up meal with that special someone, nothing is quite as good as the perfect grilled cheese.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 3 slices of bread
  • 4 slices of cheese
  • 4 slices of crispy bacon
  • 2 slices of beefsteak tomato, cut to medium thickness
  • 2 Tablespoons salted butter
  • 1 Tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Frying pan or griddle
  • Spatula
  • Microwave
  1. Step 1

Heat your frying pan to medium high heat and pour in 1 Tablespoon of vegetable oil. Fry the bacon, turning occasionally, until very crispy and all visible fat has cooked off the meat.

  2. Step 2

Layer your grilled cheese as follows: bread, cheese, tomato, bacon, cheese, bread, cheese, tomato, bacon, cheese, bread. Microwave for one minute on high.

  3. Step 3

Wipe out your pan and reheat to medium-high. Melt 1 Tablespoon butter in pan. Place grilled cheese in pan and use spatula to evenly distribute the melted butter. Remove from pan and repeat with another Tablespoon of butter and the other side of the sandwich.

  4. Step 4

Grill until golden brown on each side. Cut diagonal and serve with your favorite salad, chips or soup!

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure that you microwave the grilled cheese until the cheese is thoroughly melted. Nothing is more disappointing than a beautiful grilled cheese that is only half melted in the middle.
  • ALWAYS proceed with caution when dealing with heat and oil.
