Quick and easy tips to bake a potato in the crockpot along with your meat. Kill two birds with one stone!

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 3-4 baking potatoes
  • aluminum foil
  • crock pot (slow cooker)
  • some kind of meat you are already planning on cooking
Step1
Have the meat of your choice already in the crockpot and ready to go (following the meat recipe of your choice)
Step2
Pierce potatoes with a fork or knife to break the skin. Then wrap each potato in aluminum foil. Place on top of meat in crock pot.
Step3
Cook the meat for the time called for in the recipe. Potatoes will cook right along with it! You will have both potatoes and meat done at the same time, without dirtying another dish, or having to heat up the oven. (Isn't that why you were using a crock pot any way? To avoid using the oven?)

Tips & Warnings

  • Wash potatoes first, then pierce with fork
  • Make sure when you place the potatoes on top of the meat, that your lid to the crock pot will still fit snuggly in place, and not let the heat escape!
