Step1
Decide how much money you are willing to spend.
They are between $250-$1,000...yeah, $1,000. Its a big purchase so you've got to be sure you buy the right one.
Step2
Start checking Craigslist, Ebay and your local papers.
You may get lucky and find one in perfect condition at an affordable price.
Step3
Spread the word out to your friends and neighbors that you are looking for one, you never know where you might find one.
I was lucky enough to meet a mother at the playground who had a brand new triple stroller with the tags on who just wanted to pass it on. The only request is that I pass it on to someone who needs it when I'm done. This stroller was $800.00!!!!!
Step4
Decide how often you will be using this stroller.
Will you be using it every day?
Step5
Decide who will be using it.
Will grandma be pushing this around? They are generally very heavy and hard to push.
Step6
Will you be taking this stroller in the car?
Not all triple strollers actually fold completely with the seats still in it. That is the case with my triple Peg Perego. I have to actually take out all three seats before folding the chassis.
Step7
Will you be snapping in three infant car seats?
Not all triple strollers have this option.
Step8
Search the internet for all triple strollers to compare. Many retail stores do not carry them in stock as they are a special order.
Step9
If your local retailers do not have the triple in stock, chances are they do carry the double which will give you a good idea what the triple will be like.
Step10
Will you be using the basket?
Be sure the basket is easily accessible and large enough for your purpose. (can it hold a watermelon, gallon of milk and a doz. eggs?)
Step11
Take the triple stroller around for a spin around the store with some heavy objects in all three seats for an idea of how heavy the stroller will actually be. The heavier the kids, the harder it is to maneuver.
