Have you tried EVERY product on the market and find that you are still suffering from acne? There IS a solution and it is much easier and practical than you may think.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Exfolliant
  • Moisturizer

Step1
The first and most important step is to THROW AWAY ALL OF YOUR ACNE PRODUCTS. These products may be good for a short-term fix for a small problem spot, but all they do is dry out your skin, causing the skin to flake (clogging your pores) and to produce MORE oil to compensate.
Step2
Stop washing your face as often. Once again, you are only making the problem worse by drying out your skin. If you do not wear makeup/coverup on your face you only need to wash your face when you shower. Use an exfoliating cleanser to slough off dead skin cells that are blocking your pores. I prefer St. Ives Apricot Scrub (NOT the kind for acne).
Step3
Immediately after you are done showering pat your face gently with a towel and apply a light moisturizer -Oil of Olay is a good choice. Use Oil of Olay Regenerist if you would also like to prevent wrinkles. Once again, DO NOT use a moisturizer invented for acne.
Step4
If you wear makeup/cover-up on your face, you do need to wash your face every night before you go to bed. Using just your hands does not cut it. You need to use a washcloth with a mild cleanser to ensure that all of your makeup is removed and that you are exfoliating your skin. Sleeping with makeup on is the WORST thing you can do to make your skin break out. Dove's cleansing cloths are excellent at removing all of your makeup (including eye makeup) and exfoliating at the same time.
Step5
Do not wash your face in the morning when you wake up. If you wear makeup the natural oils on your face will be an excellent base.
Your skin will continue to be a little oily as it adjusts to your new routine, but after a few weeks you will notice that your skin is less oily even though you are washing it less and have stopped using oil absorbing acne products.
Step6
Finally, do not touch your face, do not hold your phone to your face, wash your pillow case often, and tie your hair back when you sleep. Hair products, especially hairspray and mousse are one of the biggest bad complexion culprits when they are rubbed into your skin while you sleep. It is also helpful to drink plenty of water, eat well, take vitamins and avoid sugar and white flour.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you are a woman, certain birth control pills work wonders on controlling acne. Talk to your doctor to see what is right for you.
  • If you wear foundation, Loreal Quickstick is easy to apply and is also noncomendongenic (it will not clog your pores).

on 5/24/2008 Hi,
I used to have really bad acne . It was pretty embarassing to go to college with my acne patched face and I was desperate to get rid of it somehow. I took plenty of efforts to keep my face clean all the time and also ate nutritious food and drank lots of water. Unfortunately none of it helped. I then recently read an article about a lady who got rid of her acne using a particular product. I tried it and it worked really well. Within 4 weeks my acne was gone completely. Really good stuff. You can read more about the lady’s article at the link below.
