This versatile bread has a malty aroma that is excellent with cheese. The yeast from the beer causes the bread to rise so there is no kneading! A real crowd pleaser!
Preheat oven to 350ºF degrees. Grease and line a 8 x 4 inch loaf pan with baking parchment.
Step2
In a large bowl sift together: 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 2 tablespoons sugar 2 teaspoons baking powder 1 teaspoon salt
Step3
Stir in 1 cup of beer (evenly measured without foam and NOT COLD!) and 1/4 cup of melted butter and mix until forms into a soft dough.
Step4
Spoon the dough into the prepared pan and pour 2 tablespoons of melted butter over the top. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until golden brown and loaf sounds hollow when thumped!
