How to Heal Boils Naturally

A boil is an area of the skin that's become infected, creating an abscess that's hardened. They often look like acne, but are firm and highly contagious. The good news is that boils can be treated naturally.

Instructions

1. Apply heat to the area of your skin with a boil. You can use a heating pad or hot towels, even take hot baths. All methods will increase blood flow to the area, helping your body fight the infection. Make sure to use the heat for about 30 minutes, two or three times each day, until the infection is gone.

2. Draw the boil infection right out of the skin by putting castor oil on the area. Rub it on with a cotton ball or Q-tip, and secure it there with a bandage if you have one. This method is very effective, and you can expect to see results in two days.

3. Take one drop of tea oil and apply it to the infected area of your skin. The oil acts as an antibiotic on the boil, healing the boils.

4. Mix one teaspoon of turmeric into warm water. If you drink this three times a day, you can cure your boil infection in about three days. The turmeric fights the infection internally.

Tips & Warnings

• There are two types of boils where you need to seek medical attention. One is called a hidradenitis suppurativa boil. It grows under the arm pits or in the groin area. The other is called pilonidal cyst and is found in the crease of the buttocks. If you find either, seek professional medical attention.

• If you have a compromised immune system, including diabetes or cancer, you should also seek medical attention for boils. This cold be a symptom of something greater than a skin infection.
