How to Sell Vector Images
You have some vector images you'd like to sell. Perhaps you are a graphic designer who'd like to make a little extra money outside your regular job, or you started illustrating as a hobby and have gotten pretty good at it. Regardless of the reasons for wanting to sell your artwork, there are several ways you can do it.
Instructions
-
-
1
Set up your own website. Find a web host that allows you to have a shopping cart, and create your own online store of images that people can buy.
-
2
Sell your vector images on a commission basis through stock imagery websites.
-
-
3
Find clients that might use your illustration services for commercial purposes, such as logo designs or greeting cards.
-
4
Consider specializing in a certain area of illustration. Then you can sell vector images of your specialty. Two big areas needing artists are medical illustrators and technical manual illustrators.
-
5
Create a cartoon series. Then you can sell your finished comic strips to newspapers, and also be able to sell vector images of your characters online.

I am trying to get my illustrations on istock, with a recent rejection letter I was told to make sure that the illustrations are super clean in the zoom view. Literally back to the drawing board. I look forward to being an old hand at this. Thanks for the advice. -
