A lot of children enjoy the pool so much that it makes sense to throw any sort of party for them at a location with a pool. If you have decided to throw a pool party for your young child, here are some helpful tips for you.

From Quick Guide: Graduation Party
Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A pool
  • Sunscreen
  • Flotation devices
  1. Step 1

Make a list of who to invite to your child's pool party. If your child is a toddler, you might want to keep the party size small enough for two adults to handle, just in case.

  2. Step 2

Send out pool party theme invitations and remind everyone to bring their swimsuits.

  3. Step 3

Invite children and their parents. The more eyes that are on the children in the pool, the better.

  4. Step 4

Find water games that everyone can enjoy. Keep it limited to shallow-end games rather than the deep side.

  5. Step 5

Carry the pool party theme throughout the entire festivity. The cake, food, decorations, and goody bags for the children can be planned accordingly.

  6. Step 6

Keep the pool free of too many distractions like balls or balloons. You want to be able to see all the children clearly. Decorate just outside the pool perimeter.

Tips & Warnings
  • Remind children not to eat too close to the pool or in it.
  • Take a lot of pictures if this is your child's first pool party.
  • Keep extra flotation devices handy, in case you need them.
  • Don't forget sunscreen.
  • Consider hiring a lifeguard for the pool party if a lot of the children are not yet able to swim.
