Sketch the shape of the ladybug's body and head with a pencil or chalk.
Step5
Take paint brush and apply paint to the penciled sketch.
Step6
Add details such as spots, antennae or eyes with a smaller detail paintbrush.
Step7
Enjoy your beautiful creation or give it as a gift.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you are painting on a rock, find a rock that is proportional in size as an oval or circle.
  • If you are painting on a canvas or card, be sure to have supplies ready.
  • For a ceramic project, look for a white mug, plate or pot and paint your ladybug with ceramic paints. Cook the mug or ceramic in the oven at 350 degrees for about 1 hour. Allow ceramic to cool, then test paint to make sure that the paint is fully "cooked".
