Step 1
Tell someone like a parent or teacher. Keep telling until someone helps you. You must get someone to listen to you because the bully could become violent.
-
Step 2
Ignore their threats. Stay calm and get away. As long as you are safe, walk away from the bully and ignore their behavior. Sometimes not responding is enough to stop the bully. If the bully continues, do not ignore it. Get help instead.
-
Step 3
Get a ride. Go a different way. You may not like the idea of hiding or avoiding the bully but your main concern is to be safe. Stay away from areas the bully is likely to be until you have the situation under control. You do not want to keep putting yourself in harm's way.
-
Step 4
Stand up to the bully. Tell the bully to leave you alone. You do not want to use violence or get physical in any way. Just say stop and then walk away. If the bullying continues, get help right away. You may want to take self defense classes or lift weights so you can protect yourself.
-
Step 5
Ask a friend for help. Stay in a group when you can. You do not want to be alone with someone who is bullying you in any way.
-
Step 6
Help someone who is being bullied. Tell your parents. Call the school or tell a teacher. Letting someone get bullied and doing nothing is like being a bully yourself.
-
Step 7
Report any Internet bullying to your school, parents or service provider. Internet bullying is just as harmful as regular bullying.
