How to Open Beer With a Spoon
This is a talent no college student should go without. Bottle openers are not always handy when drinking, and as a result you have to know how to improvise. One thing that can almost always be tracked down in any household is a spoon, and fortunately it is one of the easiest things to open a beer with. Does this Spark an idea?

Grasp the beer firmly at the neck.

Allow your index finger to cover the edge of the bottle cap slightly. This is important because it allows you to produce the leverage necessary to remove the bottle cap.

Fit the tip of the spoon under the bottle cap so that it is wedged between the edge of the bottle cap and the thickest, fleshy part of your index finger towards the base.

Pop the bottle cap off by using the spoon as a lever and you finger as the fulcrum.

Return the spoon to the drawer as if it is a totally normal way of opening a beer and commence drinking. People will be impressed with your bottle mastery.

Don't use your host's finest silver. They will not be pleased, or impressed.
With a little bit of practice with a spoon, you will soon find that you will be able to open a bottle with just about anything using this technique. Flat rocks, lighters, tough seashells (such as quahogs) pocket knives, even car keys (if you are careful) can be employed to open your bottle.
