Sic Bo is an ancient Chinese dice game where bets are based on the outcome of rolls of three dice shaken and rolled by the dealer. Similar to the casino game craps, Sic Bo, which means dice pair, allows you to bet on several combinations that pay anything from even money to 1-to-150. Sic Bo is an easy game, so just follow these steps.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Step1
Learn how to bet. There are eight different bets that can be made in Sic Bo. You can bet that one number will appear on all three dice; one number will appear on two of the three dice; or one number that must appear on at least one of the dice. You can also bet that two different numbers will appear in the same roll (calling two of the three dice), and even on the sum of the three dice. You can also bet the small, which is a bet that the sum of the dice is equal to a number between four and 10, or the big, which is that the sum of the dice is equal to a number between 11 and 17.
Step2
Place your bet. You can make as many bets as you want; just remember that all losing bets will be swept off the table after each roll of the three dice.
Step3
Watch the dealer roll the dice. The dice are kept on a vibrating platform with a bubble-like glass cover. When the vibration stops, the numbers on top of each die determine the payout.
Step4
Look at the screen near the dealer. It will tell you the winning numbers. Then check your bets to see if you have won. If you have won, the dealer will pay you a multiple of that bet based on a pay chart printed on the felt.

Tips & Warnings

  • Sic Bo is hard to find in the United States. It it is played in Atlantic City, and is widely popular throughout Asia.
