How to Join the Estuarine Research Federation

The Estuarine Research Federation began in 1971. The Federation's main concern involves environmental appreciation, wise management and understanding of estuaries and coasts. The organization promotes the proper use and preservation of estuaries and coastlines through research, communication and action. The Estuarine Research Federation offers membership to anyone interested in supporting ERF's goals.

Fill Out Membership Form

Step1
Go to the Estuarine Research Federation home page.
Step2
See the "Join ERF Click here to apply" and press "Click here."
Step3
Choose the online application or press on "Download the appropriate forms" to send via postal service.
Step4
Scroll down the page to fill in "Member information." Complete name, title and any academic degree.
Step5
Enter your "Mailing address." Include telephone number, fax and email.
Step6
Fill out the optional "Member profile" section with employment and listed expertise background. Check or leave blank the "I do not wish to be included in such mailings" after reading how the Estuarine Research Federation uses their membership lists.
Step7
Select "Membership categories and fees" for the right membership ranging by fee from the highest to lowest. These include sponsoring member, sustaining, full, associate, student, family and emeritus.

Fill Out Options

Step1
Make "Voluntary contributions" by choosing the fund you wish to support and enter the amount.
Step2
See the "Affiliate society membership" for members in good standing to pay additional dues to affiliate societies.
Step3
Decide how you want to receive the "ARF Journal." Check the box under "Other options" to receive the electronic editions, leave blank for a mailed copy.
Step4
Consider purchasing the "Estuaries CD-ROM Set" and the latest membership directory.
Step5
Press the "Review membership information" bar with your mouse.
Step6
Review the application for correctness and enter credit card information or write a check and send to the federation.
Step7
Submit or mail your final form. See the address on the application for mailing.

Tips & Warnings

  • You'll receive the bimonthly journal "Estuaries and Coasts" with your membership.
  • Membership includes an updated job list for those in the field, invitation to bi-yearly conferences, newsletters and other related business.
