You've finalized your first ezine's creation--now all that's left is getting it to the masses. Distribute your ezine using subscriber email addresses and ezine software. Leave the hard part of distribution up to technology, where all you have to do is provide the content and the subscriber list.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Compile the email addresses of subscribers into special ezine mailing software (see Resources).

  2. Step 2

Decide on set times to distribute your ezine. Most ezines are distributed on a monthly, bi-weekly or weekly basis. It's usually best to distribute your ezine monthly until your business grows and becomes more recognizable or until you have a large number of ezine subscribers.

  3. Step 3

Make allowances for the type of ezine you are distributing if your ezine is time-sensitive. For example, an image-heavy ezine will probably arrive at your addressee's inbox later than one that only contains text. Certain undedicated ezine mailing list software may lag. Invest in software that is dedicated and can sustain an unlimited number of mass emails.

  4. Step 4

Distribute your ezine using your ezine software. Employ a mass emailing function. Customize the mass emailing options to best suit your needs and your subscribers' preferences.

  5. Step 5

Guard against junk mail filters. Instruct dedicated subscribers to include the email address from which you send the ezine in their email client's safe list so that they will always receive your emails. Many email clients recognize multiple email deliveries from a particular address as "spam" and automatically block the email address from delivering email.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure that your Internet service provider allows you to distribute mass emails from your personal email address. Some Internet service providers prohibit the distribution of mass emails or apply quotas to email services.
  • You can use companies to create your ezines, manage your subscriber list and send your emails for you, if you don't want to or can't send the emails from your personal email address.
