Research on the Internet the history behind the haunted house you are interested in. The story behind the haunting can be very enlightening and entertaining. While you may take a tour of the house, you may learn more by researching it yourself.
-

Find out about haunted tours. Many larger cities in the south offer bus or trolley tours of haunted houses in and around the city. These can give you even more information on houses to visit.

Plan your visit. Find the hours and days that the house you want to visit is open. Most houses in the south are open year-round. However, check schedules to ensure hours of operations.

Enjoy being scared. Though there may not be any actual apparitions during your visit, the stories and the house itself can be spine tingling.
