Determine what product--or products--you will sell. Search the Cafe Press website to see what competition you will have for similar ideas.

Make sure the design is captivating, interesting and marketable. Consider the simplicity of the image, the color scheme and the overall impression that the design may make on potential buyers. The smaller its reproduction, the simpler and less complex you'll want it to be.

Visit the Cafe Press website and click on the "Start Selling Now" tab, which you'll see on the upper part of the page. This will be your starting point.

Register for a basic or a premium membership. The basic membership is free, and Cafe Press does all the work of printing and distributing your products. The money for each item is collected by Cafe Press, and your retail profit is sent to you each month.

Upload your image or images, and choose the product or products you want to see your image attached to. You can choose from clothing, stickers, buttons, housewares, hats, bags, books, office supplies and more. The more varied you can make your product line, the more money you can earn.

Step 6
Follow the instructions given on the tab for "Prepare Your Images." This will take you through the process of making sure that your images meet the requirements for use on the products you choose.

Step 7
Set up your Cafe Press shop according to directions under the corresponding tab. This will provide you with your own Web presence and will offer you options, for a small fee, that will help you get the word out there. Once this is done, sit back and wait for the money to come in.
