Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Handwraps
  • Boxing gloves
  • Boxing shoes
  1. Step 1

Get into proper boxing stance with your left foot forward. Your right foot provides the power and your left foot provides the stability. Your hands should be at chin level.

  2. Step 2

Turn your hips and shoulders and twist your foot to the right. When you punch, move your body into the punch to increase the power of your right cross.

  3. Step 3

Snap your arm out in a punch to the right. Your punch should land parallel to the floor and your arm should be at a 90-degree angle.

  4. Step 4

Bring your arm back as you return your body to its original position. Your back foot should always be planted on the floor as an anchor.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure your wrist is straight and your fist is tight in your glove. Always keep your head, neck and shoulders relaxed in boxing.
  • Don't drop your left hand when you throw your right cross; it should be in position to protect your chin.
