Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Look at your specific schedule. Note what you are working and when your other obligations are. Consider how busy your life is when you're looking to schedule your deck building project.
Step2
Devote at least a full week or even a second week to building your deck. This is a project that should be able to be completed in a couple weeks' time.
Step3
Make daily goals for your deck building project. Write on a calendar what you expect to have completed by the end of each day that you decide to work on your project. As long as you meet those smaller goals, you should have no problem meeting the larger goal of getting it done within a couple weeks.
Step4
Keep your deck building project from obstructing the main entrance way of your house. While you won't be completing the project in one weekend, you do want to make sure you keep your project from interfering with daily life at your house. It shouldn't be too much of a problem as the deck is outside your house.
Step5
Plan which tools and which pieces of equipment you need on which days as you go along with your project. The night before you are doing each particular part of your deck building project, lay out your tools and materials to make it easier for you to get started, and stick with your deck building project.
