Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Measure your deck. If you choose to put a giant built-in hammock on your deck, but realize it will take a lot of your outdoor area, you may want to reconsider. Maybe a few smaller patio chairs would be a better option. But if you really want a hammock, look for the kind that can clip on and off.
Step2
Ask around the neighborhood to determine how others have chosen to order their deck specialties. Some folks choose a local store, while others hire an expert to come in and make their deck look amazing. Whether or not you choose either of these options or even something else, it's always good to get a second opinion.
Step3
Check with an expert deck builder in your area and consult him on where to find the deck specialties that you're looking to purchase. Sometimes the best professionals can end up being right in your own backyard.
Step4
Do some digging and don't settle for something less than the ideal item you need. If the finishing touches for your deck include the perfect set of umbrellas that match your chairs, keep looking until you find them. Settling for something less won't satisfy your needs.
Step5
Look into getting a built-in barbeque installed. Either gas or wood/coal burning. You'll be the hit on the block come summer.
Step6
Wire your patio for sound (and light). Outdoor speakers and lighting will put your patio over the top.
