Step1
Visit the many unique theme parks that are available when you live in Florida. Universal Studios, Disney World or Silver Springs' glass bottom boats are some of the top attractions. Florida residents usually get a discount on the admission price. (See Resources below.)
Step2
Wrestle with alligators up close. These creatures are a part of the terrain. They can be seen on the roads, in water-filled ditches or even in your backyard pool. If you do have an alligator issue call Wildlife Control. They will send a trained officer to safely remove the alligator with no harm to the people or the creature.
Step3
Enjoy the beauty of palm trees when you live in Florida. Most residents have one or two in their front yard.
Step4
Wear shorts year round when you live in Florida. Shorts are acceptable work attire for most jobs, due to the heat. Check with your employer to see what types of shorts are acceptable in your work environment.
Step5
Add pest control to your monthly to-do list. No matter how clean your home is you will see a palmetto bug from time to time inside your home. The year-round heat in Florida keeps the bugs breeding. You can hire a professional service to spray your home monthly or do it yourself with the pesticides sold in local supermarkets.
Step6
Consider adding some orange trees to your front- or backyard landscaping. When you live in Florida you can have fresh orange juice from oranges that you pick yourself. Orange trees produce a crop twice a year. You can buy orange trees at the super centers or local nurseries.
