Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Decide what you want your outdoor built-in gas grill to be made of. Determine whether you want to build a gas grill to be part of your outdoor kitchen and built in to your cabinets like a stove or whether you want it to be its own unit that you can set into place. This requires some thought, as it primarily is based on what style of outdoor cooking area you want to create.
Step2
Look at your different options. Look at built-in kitchen and gas grill specialty catalogs and stores. There are a myriad of ideas and types of permanent gas grills available to you.
Step3
Decide whether you plan on building or installing your permanent gas grill yourself or whether you'll be hiring a professional to build it or install it for you. If you plan on building or installing your gas grill yourself, choose a grill that you think you can actually do yourself as opposed to some of the more complex styles available.
Step4
Measure the area where you will be installing your gas grill, and plan your materials accordingly. If you plan on building a gas grill from scratch, make sure you have enough materials to get the job done right. If you're planning on installing a permanent gas grill that you buy from a home improvement store, make sure you have space at your outdoor kitchen for that grill and the appropriate space for the propane tank and other needs.
Step5
Choose a built-in gas grill that's made out of materials that are weatherproof and that look good year round. Your gas grill should be one that should survive a torrential downpour.
