Step 1
Make a list of who you're going to give gifts to. While it's often considered tacky to give a Christmas gift to a superior, if you work in a close knit office and are friends with the boss, don't let that mindset stop you.
-
Step 2
Create a budget based on how many people you're going to buy for. Christmas gifts for coworkers can get expensive quickly, but setting a limit on presents helps keep the costs down. Consider spending a little more on gifts for coworkers that you're close to, and then distributing the rest of the budget amongst the others.
-
Step 3
Take your co-workers religions into consideration. If someone doesn't celebrate Christmas, you can give him a "Happy Holidays" card with something sweet like a candy cane or piece of chocolate attached to the envelope.
-
Step 4
Suggest a Secret Santa party. By doing this, you won't feel obligated to give everyone a Christmas gift, and you can concentrate on giving presents to your closest coworkers. Make sure there is a limit set on the Secret Santa gifts, preferably in the $15 range.
