Step 1
Create an account on MySpace, following the directions provided (see Resources below). Use the tools to create a profile and layout that reflects your business. Keep the space easy to read and navigate.
-
Step 2
Create personal profiles for your workers and add the business as a friend. Having the business logo showing on a top friends list may create traffic to your business's MySpace page.
-
Step 3
Add information to your profile but be careful to adhere to the user agreement. Add a link to your business's homepage but don't advertise too heavily or sell from your MySpace page.
-
Step 4
Search by age, gender, status and location to find your target audience. Remember to thank anyone that adds you or accepts your request to be friends.
-
Step 5
Send friends requests to those in your community but don't solicit or spam others. Not only is spamming annoying to your possible customers, but MySpace also has strict rules against it and may take action ranging from blocking you to deleting your account.
-
Step 6
Upload photos of your location and goods sold, as well as any promotional parties or events you hold. Attempt to post photos with people, especially your "friends," in them.
-
Step 7
Add your MySpace URL to all your promotions--emails, business cards, advertisements and anything else that you send out to the public.
