Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Step1
Start with something comfortable. You cannot just throw an organ grinder monkey suit on your monkey right away. You must build up their tolerance to being clothed. Start with a loose fitting shirt and you are on your way to dressing a pet monkey.
Step2
Work your way up to outfits. After they get used to wearing something comfortable it is time to throw a pair of pants on their naked bums and really dress a pet monkey up. Show them that you wear clothes too and that it is not socially acceptable to parade around naked in public.
Step3
Find out what kind of style your monkey likes. If he likes Hawaiian shirts or poodle skirts, let them wear those types of clothes. You can dress a pet monkey on a consistent basis as long as you respect their sense of style and allow them to express themselves.
Step4
Let your pet monkey prance around in the buff from time to time so they do not feel stymied.
Step5
Add in the organ grinder outfit. When you dress a pet monkey, they have to wear an organ grinder outfit at least once. As long as you respect their choice of clothes, they owe you this one favor.

on 4/13/2008 I disagree with this post completely. Monkeys are wild animals and should not be ''trained'' to fit in clothes that could possibly get caught and harm or kill the animal. When having a pet monkey try to find a purpose of having him besides the fact that you can say that you have a monkey for your own personal enjoyment.

on 11/16/2007 Start at an early age(like 4-5 weeks old) and treat them as a child. We have and ours is 12 years old and wears an outfit every day and pjs to bed every night. he loves his clothes, can dress himself.
