There is nothing more romantic than being served breakfast in bed on your anniversary. Put a lot of thought into what your spouse likes, favorite foods and treats to serve a beautiful breakfast tray. Start your anniversary off right with a breakfast tray worthy of the celebration. Here are some tips to help you serve an anniversary breakfast tray.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

    Food Suggestions

  1. Step 1

Prepare a few of your spouse's favorite foods for the anniversary breakfast tray. The breakfast tray should be a special occasion served with special foods. Make favorite foods special by adding extra ingredients. For example, instead of French toast, make stuffed french toast or serve with hot homemade syrup and fresh fruit. Cut the French toast into heart shapes and sprinkle with powdered sugar or use a special bread to make the French toast. Serve eggs benedict instead of plain eggs, use real half and half for coffee. The extra touches for breakfast foods will make your anniversary memorable.

  2. Step 2

Buy bakery items like croissants, cinnamon rolls, raisin bread or breakfast rolls. Make honey flavored butter by softening butter and mixing it with honey. Spread the honey butter on the bakery items or serve it with the rolls. Buy the bakery items in a bakery and not in a grocery store; you'll get much fresher baked goods.

  3. Step 3

Serve fresh fruit with a flair. Serve strawberries and cream or peaches and cream. Warm pineapple slices and sprinkle with brown sugar. Try to use the fruit that's in season for a full flavored fruit dish on your breakfast tray.

  4. Special Touches

  5. Step 1

Use the special china and sterling silver on the anniversary breakfast tray. Set a larger plate under the plate for serving to use as you would a charger. The charger not only looks good, but helps keep spills away from the tray and bed. Use crystal stemware for either juice or a champagne cocktail.

  6. Step 2

Add a cloth napkin and placemat that are matching in color and style under the china and silver.

  7. Step 3

Place a tablecloth over the bed to protect the bed from crumbs and spills. Use a nice tablecloth or a special flat sheet; it will protect and look good at the same time.

  8. Step 4

Include the special touches that are personal to you and your spouse. For example, if you both love the mountains, a snow globe of a mountain scene would add a personal touch. If you're planning a second honeymoon, wrap the tickets or brochure in special paper or a beautiful card. Roses or a favorite flower always add a romantic touch to your anniversary breakfast tray.
