How to Make a Lightbulb Santa Ornament

Things You'll Need
- Used light bulb
- Acrylic paints in white, flesh tone, pink, black, red
- Black paint pin (optional)
- Ribbon or cord in a Christmas color

Collect the light bulb(s). If you are doing this for a large group such as a class, have them bring a used light bulb from home. You can also purchase light bulbs inexpensively at a local superstore.

Paint an oval in a flesh-colored acrylic paint on the center area of the largest part of the bulb.

Paint the rest of the large area of the bulb bright white with an acrylic paint.

Paint the skinny part of the bulb or the "neck" red for Santa's hat. Also paint the socket area white for the white puff on his hat.

Use a black paint pen or brush dipped in black acrylic paint to make Santa's face. Dot on two pink circles for his rosy cheeks.

Touch up the beard and hat with white paint.

Use a length of chord or ribbon in a complementary color and hot glue to the back of the bulb.

Wrap in tissue paper if giving as a party favor to keep from breaking.
