Cheese dip is an easy dish to take to any function you attend. You never know when you need a quick dish to take to a luncheon or take by a friend's house as a gift. Few dishes come together as easily or look more elegant, plus you probably already have most of the ingredients on hand at any time. Here are just a few examples of easy cheese dips.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 3 lb. block of soft process cheese food
  • 1 small jar of chopped pimentos
  • Crackers, chips or vegetables for dipping
  • ½ cup chopped green onions
  • 1 package frozen chopped broccoli (thawed)

    Hot Cheese Dip

  1. Step 1

Serve the favorite recipe of many people-a hot cheese dip. This dip is so easy to make, it takes care of itself. Follow the steps below or see variations on Cooks.com.

  2. Step 2

Take a three-pound box of soft block process cheese food (such as Velveeta), cube it up and put it in a slow cooker. Add a small can of tomatoes and peppers or a small jar of salsa.

  3. Step 3

Consider an optional ingredient here-brown a half pound of ground beef and add it to the cheese/tomato mixture. Turn the slow cooker on low and let it cook for two to four hours. Use your favorite dipping chips, crackers or vegetables with the recipe.

  4. Smooth and Creamy Cheese Ball

  5. Step 1

Make your dish pull double duty. Have the cheese ball double as a holiday centerpiece while becoming a dip at the right time. It is very easy to make.

  6. Step 2

Soften three eight-ounce packages of cream cheese. Mix with two cups of shredded cheddar cheese and three tablespoons of chopped green onion. Add one package of dry ranch salad dressing.

  7. Step 3

Mix well, form into a ball, and roll in chopped pecans. Place the ball on an attractive serving plate and surround it with a variety of dipping crackers. This is an easy and beautiful dip to make.

  8. Zesty Broccoli Cheese Dip

  9. Step 1

Melt a 3 pound block of soft cheese food in the microwave. Add thawed broccoli, green onion, and pimentos.

  10. Step 2

Return to the microwave for two more minutes. Stir well. Eat this dip as a hot or cold dish.

  11. Step 3

Serve with crackers or sturdy chips for the hot version or with vegetables for the cold dip.
