Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • 1/2 of a large cucumber
  • 1 oz. witch hazel
  • Blender
  • Light cotton fabric or cheese cloth
  • Glass bowl
  • Sterilized glass bottle with lid
  • Cotton balls
Step1
Peel the cucumber and cut it into 2 inch cubes. Place the cubes in the blender and puree them.
Step2
Strain the pureed cucumber through a square of light cotton or cheese cloth into the glass bowl. When you have about 2 oz. of pureed cucumber in the bowl, add the witch hazel.
Step3
Mix the cucumber and witch hazel gently and pour it into the sterile glass bottle.
Step4
Store your oily skin facial toner in the refrigerator to keep the cucumber from going bad. Your tone should last in the refrigerator for up to one week.
Step5
Use your oily skin facial toner after cleansing your face. Then soak a cotton ball in the cleanser and wipe it over your skin using gentle upward strokes.

Tips & Warnings

  • For a more fragrant and refreshing facial toner, you can add 1 tsp. of dried mint leaves to the cucumber before pureeing it.
