Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Determine amount of detail to include in the programs. Include all prompts and responses for the guests when participation is apart of the ceremony. Include text for readings, prayers, hymns and vows for a greater level of detail and to help people not familiar with your religion or the liturgy.
Step2
Copy any designs or fonts from the invitations or other wedding materials, such as menu cards, place cards and table numbers for a unified theme.
Step3
Create a special "thank you" list to include at the end. Acknowledge the families, bridal parties, celebrants, special helpers, all the guests and the church or temple used for the service.
Step4
Use word processing tool's "booklet printing" setting to fit two pages on each side of paper. This saves paper and makes the program a manageable size for the guests. Fold each sheet in half after printing to finish the booklet.
Step5
Punch holes in the binding edge, and secure the pages together with nice ribbon to match wedding colors and styles. For example, shimmery white ribbon for a formal, black tie wedding, or simple raffia for a casual, earthy wedding.
Step6
Print roughly 1 copy of the program for every 1.5 to 2 guests to reduce paper, printing costs and environmental impact. Instruct the ushers or greeters to hand out a single program to each couple, rather than a program for each individual.
