Instructions

    • 1

Locate the Phillips, flat head or Allen screw underneath the nozzle.

    • 2

Remove the screw with the correct screwdriver and turn the spout counter clockwise until removed. It's best to take the nozzle with you to the hardware store to ensure proper fit when purchasing a replacement. Make sure that you have the appropriate tools at home for the type of nozzle you purchase.

    • 3

Scrape away any old caulk from the shower wall using a putty knife. Coat the pipe nipple threads with pipe dope and screw the new nozzle on to the spout nipple by turning it clockwise. After the nozzle is flush against the shower wall, install the screw at the base of the nozzle.

    • 4

Using waterproof bathtub caulk, run a bead of caulk 1/4-inch thick around the outside of the nozzle where it meets the shower wall. Wipe away the excess caulk with a paper towel.

Tips & Warnings

  • Be sure to let the caulk dry for the recommended amount of time found on the instructions of the caulk tube before using the tub or the shower.
