How to Use Sea Salts

Replace lemon with sea salt to keep apples and other fruit from browning.

Make your own cleaning products with sea salt. Mix sea salt with cinnamon and sprinkle over burned spills while your oven is still hot. Wipe with a clean cloth when it's cooled down and you will be left with a fresh smell in your kitchen. Combined with soda water, sea salt can be used to clean your refrigerator and make any other enamel surface shine. Replace soda water with turpentine to make old yellowed bathtubs and lavatories look like new.

Sprinkle some sea salt in your next bath to relax your muscles and make your body think it's just had a massage after a hard workout or a long day in the office. Treat bee and mosquito bites as well as poison ivy with salted water. Combine with equal parts of olive oil and apply to your face for five minutes to achieve a homemade spa treatment.
