Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • two open end or adjustable wrenches
Step1
first lower the door so there is no tension on the chain
Step2
the chain is connected by a threded rod usually on the rihgt hand side if you are standing at the door facing the motor
Step3
loose the two nuts holding one while loosening the othe
Step4
procede by turning the rod until there is enough tension so the chain cant be pulled down too far
Step5
you should have some slack usually about an 1 1/2 deflection ( this means if you held a straight edge against the chain you could pull the chain outward about 1 1/2 inches toward you)
Step6
after adjustments are made retighten nuts using 2 wrenchs then test door making sure it dosent bind on the way up or down
