We all want clear, glowing skin. Some even go as far as spending hundreds of dollars to get it. But what if all it takes is $3 and a spoonful of honey?

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 5 regular aspirin tablets (about $3 for an entire bottle)
  • A spoonful of honey or water
  • A small bowl
  1. Step 1

Wash your face and pat it dry. This will be easy, I promise!

  2. Step 2

Crush 5 aspirin tablets in a small bowl and add a spoonful of honey. Mix the two together.

  3. Step 3

Now, you can either spread the mixture over your entire face as a mask, or use it as a spot treatment. First first timers, I would encourage you to try a small area first (as you should when trying ANY new product).

  4. Step 4

Wait 12 minutes or so (until it feels dry) and rinse the mixture off your face. Pat your face dry. I repeat, PAT it dry-- not harshly rub your face in a towel.

  5. Step 5

Within a few hours or the next morning, your face will be glowing, your skin tone will look more even, and most importantly, those pesky pimples will be long gone. But don't just take my word for it, try it out!

Tips & Warnings
  • If you don't like the drying feeling of a mask, feel free to spritz your face every few minutes with some water.
  • Feel free to play around with different ratios of the ingredients. You can make it stronger by adding more aspirin, or weaker by using less.
  • The mixture could be too drying for overly sensitive skin. This is why it's really important to try it out in a small area first.
  • Some people do, but I would not recommend using this as a mask everyday. Maybe every few days.

on 6/22/2009 How about still 50 and breaking out :-) Now thats totally unfair.

I'd be very leery of putting aspirin on my face though! Just be careful it doesn't react with any meds your on, and I would imagine don't overdo it, at the very least.

on 1/21/2009 Honey is has wonderful, completely natural anti-microbial properties, so of course it would help tame acne! Why didn't I think of this? Great article!
