I just love Halloween because of how creative we can all be, with decorations, Cookies, cupcakes, cakes, etc., there are so many things we can do with it all, but this is just one that I like.
Make cupcakes.
Prepare your cupcakes according box directions.
Step2
Frost cupcakes.
When cool, frost as desired. I add orange food coloring to the white frosting for this particular idea. The kids like helping with this part too.
Step3
For less frosting.
If you don't want to use lots of frosting you can just draw with frosting, little black spiders, orange pumpkin faces, black spider webs or etc. on a plain cup cake. Those turn out really cute too.
Step4
Frosting spider webs on cupcakes.
After cupcakes are frosted, with the smallest tip of a frosting applicator make black spider webs over the whole tops of cupcakes.
Step5
Halloween spider rings.
Next on the top of each cup cake, in the center I put a little black plastic spider ring on half of the cupcakes and orange spider rings on the other half. You can buy these in bulk. I always wash the rings well before placing them on the cupcakes.
Step6
Finished cup cakes on plate.
Place finished cupcakes on a Halloween platter or plate. Place them on your decorated table, take them to a Halloween party or to your children's school for their Halloween party, etc.
Tips & Warnings
Let the kids help decorate the cupcakes, they really enjoy this and they can tell their friends they helped make them.
If your children are too young you shouldn't put the spider rings on the cupcakes, just draw spiders, pumpkin faces or write BOO on them.
