Paper bags aren't just for bringing home the groceries anymore. Save paper bags and recycle them around your house for a number of uses. Reusing paper bags will not only help the environment but will benefit your budget as well. With a few good paper bag ideas up your sleeve, you can soon be finding uses for them for many other things.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Cover textbooks with paper bags. Cut a sack open and trim it down to be just larger than the book. Fold the edges in, and secure the book cover with tape. Personalize your new book covers with markers and stickers.

  2. Step 2

Carry your laundry with them. Use paper bags with sturdy handles when the hamper is overflowing and there are no laundry baskets to be spared.

  3. Step 3

Fill them with old newspapers, paper and other paper bags. Drop them off at a local recycling center.

  4. Step 4

Clean your mop with them. Put a dust mop in the bag and secure it with a rubber band. Beat the mop on the ground a few times. Lay the bag on it's side and let the dust settle. Remove the mop, and throw the bag in the trash.

  5. Step 5

Save small paper sacks from boutiques and specialty stores to use as gift bags. Add some colorful tissue paper and a bow, and you have a free gift bag.

  6. Step 6

Decorate small boutique bags to match your bathroom decor. Place extra rolls of toilet paper in them or a box of tissue.
