Root yourself. Get a firm base in your stance so that you are balanced and not easily moved.
-
2
Extend your sword forward. Keep the sword in this position at all times to keep your opponent at a safe distance.
-
-
3
Move with fluidity. Even the most complex moves should come together seamlessly as you mentally focus on moving each limb. Ensure that your body is properly aligned for each movement

4
Use chi. Chi is the energy that flows throughout your body. In Kung Fu, chi allows you to strike your opponent with the greatest force of power. Show your ability to manifest this power through short punches, thrusts and palm strikes.

Practice with a wooden dummy. Training with a dummy challenges you to move to another level of skill in your movement and footwork.
